two small white paper christmas trees with a lit candle

Woohoo: 12-12-2024 and 12 pictures! The 12th of December was a Thursday, and I found myself once again on my moon, trying to balance my need for rest and slowing down with my busy work schedule. It’s not always easy to align them, but I do my best. This day was filled with special little moments of beauty, joy, and connection, and I truly cherish each of them.

Life is made up of these fleeting, everyday moments—whether they’re cozy mornings, creative bursts, or simple acts of self-care. I’m excited to share these snippets of my day with you through 12 pictures, and I’d love for you to join me in this little ritual of reflection and connection. Grab your camera, reflect on your own moments, and let’s celebrate the beauty in the small things together. 🙂

December 2024
This is how cozy mornings begin: one of my favorite things about the colder months is the soft glow of candlelight in the morning. There’s something about the warmth they radiate and the invitation to slow down, to savor the start of the day. Not every morning feels this cozy, though. Sometimes I rush around, feeling overwhelmed—especially when I skip my morning meditation. But when I give myself that little pocket of time to breathe, to enjoy the small moments, and to make my home feel warm and inviting, it truly makes all the difference before diving into the craziness of the day.

Meditating in the morning
Meditation is a non-negotiable for me. This particular morning, I did a shorter session—one of my favorite Dr. Joe Dispenza meditations: the Changing Boxes Meditation (short version). Even if it’s just five or twenty minutes, taking time to meditate is so important for me to set the tone for the day. Of course, I’m not perfect—I fall off the wagon now and then, prioritizing other things or rushing through my mornings. But no matter what, I always find my way back to my meditation practice.

Advent Calendar in a Jar
My Advent Calendar in a Jar: and the door to day number 12 opens… 🙂 My wonderful friend Colena made me the most thoughtful Advent Calendar and sent it to me. I was beyond thrilled to receive this beautiful gift—every little package wrapped in shining pink (my favorite color) paper, each one a surprise waiting to be unwrapped. I couldn’t resist putting all those adorable gifts in a big mason jar to showcase the them. It’s such a joy to see these little treasures every day! My inner child is happy.

Delicisous oatmeal with a good book
During the cold season, I crave warm breakfasts, and this delicious oatmeal is my go-to. It’s simple, nourishing, and perfect for starting the day with comfort, adn I want to share the recipe with you:
Grind 2-3 tablespoons of oats
Grind 2 tablespoons of buckwheat
Grind 2-3 tablespoons of sunflower seeds
Grind 1 tablespoon of flaxseeds

Mix it all well and place it in a pan. In a blender, add water with dates and blend until smooth. Pour this mixture into the oatmeal blend, heat it up gently, stir, and finish off with a generous amount of cinnamon (or any other warming spices you love).

While I’m devouring this deliciousness, I’m also diving into a new rom-com (yay!). I’m already loving it, and I can’t wait to share more about it. You can find all of my book reviews here, and I’ll be adding this one soon!

Citrus love
Citrus bliss and liquid sunshine. It’s so important to get in all those essential vitamins and minerals, especially when sunshine feels scarce, like it does here in Central Europe. I have to admit, this week has been tough for me, with nothing but gray skies—gray, gray, and more gray. So, to brighten things up and keep my energy up, particularly during my moon, I’ve been upping my intake of colorful, sunny foods. Oranges and lemons have been my go-to, filling me with that refreshing burst of vitamin C, gluthathione, flavonoids, and limonoids, and a touch of sunshine in every sip. Highly recommned it 😉

Blutenpracht im kalten Herbst
I’m completely mesmerized by the beauty and resilience of my balcony flowers. Look at them! Aren’t they amazing?!
Every time I look at them, I feel transported to those sunny summer days, and it’s such a comforting feeling. There’s something magical about how nature, even in the quieter months, can bring so much color and life into our spaces. I’m all for that.

Scheduling Advent Calendar emails
I’m in the process of scheduling the next sequence of emails for my Self-Care Advent Calendar. Every day, the wonderful women who have signed up get to unwrap a little digital gift, a daily dose of self-care and inspiration. It’s such a joy to see their excitement as they open each email! If you’d like to join in, it’s not too late—you can still be part of this special experience.
Here’s where you can register.

Setting up new content for pinterest
Here I’m creating and bulk-scheduling my Pinterest posts, a task I’ve grown to love for its creative and strategic aspects. It’s been so exciting to see my efforts pay off! Just a month ago, on November 12th, my Pinterest reach was at 24k monthly views. Fast forward to now, and I’ve hit 56k monthly views! Seeing this growth makes me so happy and motivates me to keep experimenting and refining my approach.
I can’t wait to see where this journey takes me next—it’s a reminder for me of how consistency and creativity can lead to meaningful progress.

At the school of voice
Early Afternoon: Thursdays are dedicated to the School of Voice, where my afternoons and evenings are spent preparing for and welcoming my students. There’s a comforting rhythm to these moments.

As I wait for them to arrive, I often take a quiet moment to reflect on how much I enjoy teaching. It’s more than just music; it’s about connection, growth, and helping others find their voice—both literally and figuratively. Even on busy days, there’s something so fulfilling about watching someone unlock their potential through voice and song.

Working on my new blog articles in a cafe
With one of my students out sick, I suddenly had some unexpected free time—such a rare gift in a busy day! I decided to make the most of it by heading to a café in Zehlendorf, Berlin. There’s something about the atmosphere of a café—the hum of quiet conversation, the soft clinking of cups, and the warm aroma of coffee—that sparks my creativity.
I spent the time working on a new blog post about Holiday Grief, a topic that feels especially important to me this time of year. The holidays can bring so much joy, but they can also stir up deep feelings of loss and longing, especially for those missing loved ones or navigating major life transitions. I’m looking forward to sharing this piece soon and hope it resonates with anyone who might need some extra support and comfort this season. (Update Dec 14th: the post Overcoming Holiday Grief is up now)
I also like it when I get into a conversation with total strangers. There’s something special about these unexpected connections, right: they can brighten the day in the most surprising ways.
At the school of voice Thursday afternoon and evening
Early evening found me back at the School of Voice for my last student of the day, followed by one of my absolute highlights of the week: the Women’s Singing Circle. There’s something so magical about this circle—a space where women come together, connect, and express themselves through song. It’s not just about singing; it’s about creating community, embracing our voices, and letting music uplift and heal us.
If you’re in Berlin and have been looking for a nurturing, soulful environment to explore your voice (or simply share in the joy of singing together), we’d love to have you join us! You can register here and experience the power of this circle firsthand.

when the day is done. After a full day
When the day is done… Thursdays are always long days, which isn’t my favorite. I’d much rather live in alignment with my cycle and my body’s needs—especially on days like today when I have my moon. But with the job I have, adapting is sometimes necessary. Sure, I plan to make changes in the future, but for now, I’m content with how things are. When I got home, I wrapped myself in warm, cozy layers, brought in my big lemon tree (which I grew from seed!) from the balcony—just in time, as it almost froze—and listened to an audiobook to help me wind down. A peaceful end to a long day!

Alright, that’s a wrap. I hope you found some inspiration in these glimpses of my day. Every life is so unique, and yet we’re all connected through the choices we make and the paths we walk. We weave together the greater web with our tiny and big decisions, each action contributing to the tapestry of us as a collective.

Creating space for reflection, creativity, and expression, as well as fostering connection and community, is such a powerful thing. It feels good to remember that we are all interconnected, that we are never separate, always sharing this beautiful journey together.
