12 of 12 November 2024(1)

Oh geez! Let’s just say, November 12th had a unique vibe. I woke up feeling…well, not at my best. My body was still recovering from that fever I battled last week and havin my first day of my moon. Not the best combination, really. But I rolled out of bed, got on with the day, and got myself going. Then I realized, oh, it’s November 12th, which means 12 of 12 day! My next thought was, ‘It’s gonna be boring since there’s not much happening today.’ You know, those thoughts that try to talk you out of things. But I like to stick to things until they feel complete.

So, honestly, I almost thought about skipping it. But skipping wasn’t an option.

This is the real, unfiltered me. No sugar coating here. It’s maybe not the most “Instagrammable,” but it definitely shows real life.

So, you’ll get a glimpse of me at home, juggling projects, client sessions, and the occasional rest break in bed. This month’s 12 of 12 might not be the most exciting, but it’s a slice of reality. Lol!

The time of the month when a woman just needs to wrap herself in a blanket and rest on the sofa with a good book, a cup of herbal tea, and some delicious, warm soup. I admit, it’s not always easy to organize my business around my moon (menstrual) cycle. The first day is always a low point, with low energy all around. My brain just works differently during this time, and I don’t feel like doing much. I think women are simply amazing for adapting so much throughout an entire month, carrying, and holding so much. I hope at some point we acknowledge all the hard work women do during their menstruation, where they don’t have to show up, but simply be. As a one-woman business it’s not always easy to give myself the rest that I need. Yea, that’s the truth. But I’m learning, and will get there.

In the making—here’s a little sneak peek of my German website: nadinekuehn.com ! I’m so excited about this. I love the German language; it’s my mother tongue, and I want to be accessible to my German-speaking audience as well. Every day I work a bit on it, and hopefully it is ready to launch in December 2024! Fingers crossed.

Have I mentioned that I love Pinterest? No? Well, I love Pinterest! Compared to Instagram, it feels so freeing to create and share my quotes there. I’ve put quite a bit of work into it, and it feels so good to see it growing. On November 12, I was organizing and scheduling new posts for the next few days. This way, I only need to visit Pinterest once or twice a week to set things up. Bulk scheduling is an amazing way to manage my time and boost productivity! It’s so much fun, too!

After a call with a wonderful friend from London (I needed some sisterly advice and an ear to listen to all my feels), I made myself a nourishing, vegan stew (well, pre-cooked!). There’s nothing better than a warm stew in your tummy when you’re feeling cold and moon-y.

Treptower Park: Early afternoon walk. I have to make sure to get some fresh air and movement in, even though my body is begging to stay inside and wrap up in a blanket. Autumn is in full swing, and I love how the falling leaves each tell a story of how to let go with ease and invite us to retreat and slow down, preparing for winter. It’s truly soothing for the soul. Right before afternoon online sessions with my clients. Plus some pro-bono work in between. Busy afternoon, but so worth it.

Wrapping it up: a selfie after the sessions. It’s such an amazing feeling to be there for women, holding space for whatever they’re exploring, guiding them, and coaching them. Now, it’s time for some ‘me’ time and rest.

Well, after the session I felt very nauseaus and had stomach aches with a low fever coming back. Oh, it felt nasty. It’s rare that I get sick, but this autumn was probably my time to boost my immune system: I can read my body’s cue and what it wants to tell me. As a Medical Intuitve it is very easy for me to understand what’s going on not only in other people’s bodies but also in my own. And I’ve been following Medical Medium protocols for quite some time, and those two gems are staples, and wow they helped me beat that stomach bug in no time. A day later I was way better and could work again.
My current read “One Day in December”. I waited to read this book for 10 months! So this is very special. And can I say? It is “unputdownable”! Love it. I will be reviewing it for my Lost In Pages of course. Can’t wait.

Argh, I’m sorry I don’t have a 12th picture to share. It is what it is, though. Sometimes life doesn’t go according to plan, and that’s okay. It was a good day in many ways, but also a challenging one. The kind of day where you show up, do your best, and embrace what comes—no matter how it unfolds. That’s the reality behind the scenes, it’s far from perfect, it’s messy, and I wouldn’t change it. Thank you for being along for the ride with me!
