111: It’s Okay to Ask for Help

Finding the Courage to Ask for Help

Hey gorgeous,

This episode was a very important one for me to record and I know there are so many of us who struggle with asking for support and help.
And let’s be honest: how often do we try to do everything on our own? It’s like we’re programmed to believe we have to juggle it all without even blinking. But honestly, why are we like this? It’s totally okay to ask for help. And not just okay – it’s actually necessary sometimes.

I know, I know – the fear of rejection, that bit of pride we hold onto, and maybe even thinking we’ll burden someone… but here’s the truth: Most people love to help! Just like you’d jump at the chance to support a friend in need, others would love to be there for you too. So, why is it so hard to ask for help ourselves?

This Self Love Sunday episode is your gentle nudge (or loving push) to let go of the idea that you have to have it all figured out, all the time. You don’t. We don’t. And it’s perfectly fine. Sometimes, we just need a friend to listen, a hand to hold, or someone to remind us that we’re not alone in this crazy thing called life.

You were never meant to do it all by yourself anyway.

Love, Nadine
