And trust me, once you embrace the idea, you’re going to love it!

Spring Cleanse in Fall: Reclaim Your Space and Energy

Oh, how I love fall vibes! Isn’t it one of the best seasons? The crisp air, the cool breeze, and the stunning colors of the leaves—hello, Indian summer! And let’s not forget about the stews, soups, warm drinks, and all those delicious cakes, those long strolls through the parks and city streets in your favorite autumn coat. Wrapping up in blankets and watching a great movie—what’s not to love?

As the days get cooler and shorter, we naturally start spending more time indoors. People are back from their summer vacations, kids are back in school, and we’re all gearing up for the final stretch of the year.

But fall is more than just cozy sweaters and pumpkin spice lattes—it’s also the perfect time to reset and recharge! As women, during the luteal phase of our cycle, we naturally feel the urge to wrap up loose ends, organize, and prepare ourselves for the slower, more introspective winter months. This season beautifully mirrors that phase, offering a chance to align our external environment with our internal needs.

This is the perfect time to channel that energy into a little Spring Cleanse in Fall. Sounds funny, right? But why not treat fall as a second chance for that fresh start you might have missed in spring? Or even better, use it to bring everything home that you began in spring.

It’s not just about cleaning out your closet (though that’s always a great start—I’d personally start there, lol). It’s also about clearing out mental and emotional clutter, making space for new opportunities and growth.

  • Focus on Finances: Time to check in on those money goals. Whether it’s reviewing budgets, setting new financial intentions, or simply organizing those receipts, now’s the time to get strategic. Your brain loves doing this kind of stuff during this phase. Why not make use of it, right?
  • Get Sh*t Done: We’re in productivity mode. Fall gives us that sense of urgency to check off those lingering to-do’s. It’s so satisfying to close open tabs—literally and figuratively.
  • Cleanse Your Space & Mind: Grab a cup of tea, turn on some music, and dive into sorting through the things that have piled up over the past few months. Clothes, papers, emails, even relationships—ask yourself: do these still belong in my life? If not, thank them, and let them go.

Let’s dive a little deeper, shall we? 🙂

Focus on Finances

Fall is the perfect time to take a hard look at your finances. With the rush of summer adventures behind us and the holiday season still ahead, there’s a unique window to get strategic about money. Maybe those spontaneous summer splurges have caught up with you, or perhaps you’ve been meaning to get a better handle on your savings plan—whatever the case, now’s the moment to refocus.

It’s really all in your hands, and again your brain loves doing these kinds of things right now!!! So make use of it. Review your budget, set new financial intentions, and organize those receipts. This is your chance to align your financial habits with your goals and prepare for a financially sound end to the year.

Fall is the perfect season to get really real on your finances and financial goals. Make it fun. Take classes or seminars, join a group! Find joy in decluttering and making it a priority.

Why is this so important?

As we move through the luteal phase, our bodies and minds naturally crave order and structure. This same energy can be applied to our financial lives. Reviewing your budget, setting new goals for the last quarter of the year, and ensuring that your spending aligns with your values can be incredibly grounding. Plus, it’ll help prevent those financially silly decisions that sometimes pop up when we’re not paying attention.

Consider creating a budget for gifts, since the holiday season is just around the corner. It’s easy to get caught up in the festivities and overspend, so having a plan can keep you on track.

Fall, or the luteal phase in our lives, offers us so many wonderful opportunities to gain insights and course-correct where we might have veered off track. Use this time to reflect, adjust, and set yourself up for financial success as you head into the final months of the year.

Here are some things to consider:

  • Budget Check-in: Take some time to review your current budget. Are you on track with your spending? Have your priorities shifted since the start of the year? Fall is a great time to realign with your financial goals. I can’t stress this enough!
  • Set New Intentions: If you didn’t hit your spring financial goals, don’t worry! Treat fall as a “reset” button. Set small, achievable goals for the final months of the year, like saving a certain amount or cutting back on unnecessary expenses.(yes, those forgotten subscriptions you keep meaning to cancel!). Make sure your money flows where you want it to go.
  • Organize Your Paperwork: Yes, I’m talking about that towering pile of receipts, bills, and documents that’s been gathering dust. Tackling that mess isn’t just super satisfying—it’s also a great way to see where your money is really going. Plus, it makes you feel like the boss of your finances, totally in control and in power! And that, in turn, makes you feel safe, calm, and peaceful.

The beauty of focusing on your finances during fall is that it sets the tone for the upcoming year. By the time the new year rolls around, you’ll be ahead of the game, feeling prepared and confident. Doesn’t that sound just great?!

Get Sh*t Done

Fall is productivity season! After the mostly carefree and indulging days of summer, there’s a natural shift toward buckling down and getting things done. The air feels crisp, the days are a little shorter, and there’s an underlying urgency to tie up loose ends. Think of this season as your chance to tackle everything that’s been sitting on your to-do list for far too long.

Why does this happen?

As the luteal phase signals our bodies to prepare for a slower pace, it also gives us a final burst of productivity before we enter winter’s more reflective phase. We’re motivated to finish projects, clean up messes (both literal and metaphorical—you know what yours is, lol), and cross off those lingering tasks.

Here’s how you can embrace that energy:

  • Make a List: I know it sounds basic, but there’s nothing more satisfying than checking things off a list. Write down everything you’ve been putting off—those annoying little tasks that aren’t urgent but still need to get done.
  • Break It Down: Sometimes tasks seem daunting because they’re big and overwhelming. Break them into smaller, manageable chunks. You’ll feel so much more accomplished when you can check things off, even if they’re baby steps.
  • Use the Momentum: Once you get into productivity mode, it’s hard to stop. Use that momentum to tackle the things you’ve been procrastinating on. It could be something as simple as organizing your desk or something bigger like finishing a work project or starting a new habit.

Productivity in the fall doesn’t have to feel like a chore. It can be empowering and satisfying as you prepare for the reflective season ahead. The sense of accomplishment you’ll feel by year’s end is worth every little task you tackle now!

Cleanse Your Space & Mind

We all know the cliché of spring cleaning, but I’m here to make the case for a fall cleanse. There’s something incredibly powerful about clearing out both physical and mental clutter before the quiet winter months. Think of it as a way to make space for what’s to come—mentally, emotionally, and physically.

Why is it so satisfying?

As the luteal phase progresses, there’s a natural inclination to release what no longer serves us. This isn’t just about purging old clothes or cleaning out a junk drawer—it’s about making space for new energy to come into your life. That means sorting through both the physical and emotional baggage you’ve accumulated throughout the year.

Here’s how to approach it:

  • Physical Space: Start with your home. Go through your closet, your kitchen, your office—whatever area has been piling up with “stuff.” Ask yourself: does this still belong in my life? If not, it’s time to let it go. Clearing your space makes room for new opportunities and reduces stress.

  • Digital Space: Don’t forget about the clutter on your devices! Clean out your inbox, organize your files, and delete apps you no longer use. We often overlook digital clutter, but it’s just as overwhelming as physical mess, and this is where a part of your energy goes to.

Getting rid of the digital clutter that has accumulated over time can have a great impact on your mental health.

  • Mental and Emotional Space: Reflect on relationships, habits, or beliefs that no longer serve you. Are you holding onto something that’s weighing you down? Fall is a great time to practice release—whether that’s through journaling, meditation, or simply having honest conversations.

Self-inventory: Your secret to staying grounded, relaxed, and in control!

When you cleanse your space and mind in the fall, you’re not just tidying up—you’re creating an environment where you can thrive. This process allows you to enter winter feeling lighter, more aligned, and ready for deeper introspection. It openes up new doors of opportunity.

Bringing It Home

Fall is a season of transition, a time to bring things full circle. What we began in spring and savored over summer now comes to a close. But that doesn’t mean it’s the end—it’s more like wrapping up one chapter so we can start a new one with intention.

Embracing the energy of fall is about honoring the cycles within ourselves. Just like the leaves falling from the trees, we let go of what we no longer need so we can make room for growth and renewal. Whether you’re focusing on finances, ticking off your to-do list, or cleansing your space and mind, this is your moment to reset and recharge.
